About Us

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS IN A BAIT SHOP

Riverside first opened in 1977 in a tiny building behind a bait shop. At the time we were Riverside Marine Remanufacturing. Our specialty was remanufacturing powerheads, and we eventually added lower units in 2001. Through the years, we have remanufactured over twenty-five thousand powerheads and over four thousand gearcases with a failure rate of less than one percent, an accomplishment of which we are immensely proud - and continue delivering still today.

CHANGE & POSITIVE GROWTH

After more than three decades in the marine business, and experiencing much change and growth in the industry, our company changed as well. Most notably, we moved from a 625 sq ft building behind a bait shop to an 18,000 sq ft facility that was our home for 29 years on Cantrell Road in Little Rock. Then, we moved to a 30,000 sq ft facility before landing in our current 25,000 sq ft facility in 2022.

EXPANDED EQUIPMENT & SERVICES

In addition to our offering of lower units in 2001, Riverside Marine began supplying cylinder heads and powerheads for four strokes in 2005. Furthering our commitment to the four-stroke market, in 2011 we purchased four brand-new machines from Rottler Manufacturing. These machines consist of a surfacing machine for cylinder heads, a precision valve grinder, a CNC seat, and guide machine, and the F69ATC Multipurpose CNC Engine Center. These highly valuable pieces of equipment allowed us to offer machine services on four-stroke products ranging from large diesel engines, to automotive and stern drives, large and small outboards, and motorcycles.

BECOMING RIVERSIDE PERFORMANCE ENGINES

Beginning in 2014, we began offering a complete line of GM-style engines, which are new and not remanufactured. They start at a 4.3L V6 through a 9.0L (540). In addition, we offer stock and performance packages. These new, highly capable, engines are sold to automotive enthusiasts, the marine industry through valued dealers, and the industrial market. As our company began an exciting new journey into a more diverse product line, our name that so many knew and rely on changed to Riverside Performance Engines.

SAME OUTSTANDING SERVICE

The new name was necessary due to the fact that we now offer new power plants to new markets. Rest assured our name is the only thing that has changed. The drive for delivering a high-quality product with an outstanding failure rate of less than one percent will always remain, and the hard work of our skilled employees, which is the backbone of this company, will always be present at Riverside.
